Why Choose Us

Replacing and Repairing Timber Windows and Doors – Traditional timber windows and doors were not manufactured to accepted standards as they are today. Consequently, every window or door we repair or manufacture is different, meaning we have to pay extraordinary attention to detail.

Sales and Survey – When you make your initial enquiry, a member of the office  team will make a note of your requirements, contact details and the address where the work is being carried out. Your enquiry will then be assigned to one of our office team who will be in touch within one to two working days to arrange a free, no obligation quotation and site survey at a time that suits you. When the  surveyor visits the property they will be able to answer any questions you may have about restoring or replacing your timber windows and doors.  We understand the importance of listening to your needs to help you choose the right solution to meet your requirements.

Following the visit, we  will provide you with a quotation which is valid for 30 days.  If you wish to proceed with the quotation, you will need to send the signed paperwork to us with the 50% deposit.                                                                                                                                                             All prices are subject to VAT at the current rate at the time of invoicing.

Manufacturing Survey – Once you have placed your order we will arrange a manufacturing survey, which will normally take place within three days. Our surveyor will visit you and ensure that the specification for your new window meets your requirements and that the correct measurements are fed into the manufacturing process. The surveyor can also advise on any aspect of your order from a technical or aesthetic perspective.

Your Window is Hand Crafted – Once your survey has been completed and cross checked, the order is placed into production and manufacture commences. This process normally takes 3 to 4 weeks. We will keep you updated on our progress and at the same time we will arrange any special installation requirements so that we are fully prepared for fitting. We will liaise with you over details such as: scaffolding, skip hire, parking permits, access to the property, and health and safety.

Installation – Our installers are not only expert craftsmen, they are also fully aware that they are working in your home. They will seek to minimise any disruption and will keep the work area clean and safe. Installation timescales will vary depending on the complexity and size of the job, but our best estimate will be given to you when the dates are fixed in advance of manufacturing. The Customer will provide the free use of a reasonable amount of water and electricity.                                                                                                                                                         The contract price does not include for the repair or replacement of any rotten timber, defective lintels, hidden services or hazardous materials such as asbestos found during the course of carrying out the works of for the repair otherwise of any other structural defects unless such work is specified in the schedule of work. Any such work found to be necessary will be brought to the attention of the customer and will be the subject of a separate quotation.

The company does not undertake to move services, fixtures or fittings which are ancillary to the basic structure of the property e.g. radiators, pipes, electricity, telephone and television cables and the customer shall remove all household fixtures, including curtains, nets and blinds before the installation is due to commence.

The Company will take all reasonable care of the customer’s property when carrying out the work, but cannot accept liability for damage or re-decoration, if not removed by the customer whilst work is executed. The company reserves the right to charge for wasted time if, it is unable to carry out work due to site specific restrictions/conditions.

Completion and After Sales – We aim to send a  surveyor to every installation that we carry out, either during or after the work. On completion, if you are available, our fitter will walk around with you to ensure you are happy. You will have the opportunity to complete a customer satisfaction form, which you can either give to the fitter or post to the customer services manager. You will then receive a phone call from our  management team within three days of completion to ensure everything is in order.
